Job summary

PUSH, Inc. is seeking a CDL Directional Drill Operator/ Locator (HDD) to install fiber, copper, and power cables using trenchless HDD methods. The role requires HDD experience around utilities in rural and urban settings and the ability to train and mentor team members.

Based in Rice Lake, WI, PUSH has 50 years of telecom infrastructure expertise and offers competitive pay, benefits, and advancement opportunities. On-site role with travel as needed and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling around utilities in rural and urban areas.
• Familiar with Vermeer/Ditch Witch HDD units and locating equipment.
• General knowledge of utility construction procedures and print reading.

Responsibilities

• Operate Directional Bore equipment for installation of underground cable conduit or utilities.
• Ensure proper steering based on the noted job preparations and projections.
• Maintain bore profile plots and provide drilling data to customers.
• Abide by safety procedures and attend mandatory safety meetings.
• Inspect and maintain all equipment, including routine lubrication and minor repairs.
• Read utility locates and coordinate day lighting of facilities.
• Assist with all aspects of the job including basic labor responsibilities.
• Set up and clean up the work site, including traffic and pedestrian control.
