Job summary

PUSH, Inc is seeking a HDD Directional Drill Operator/Locator to install fiber-optic and other utilities using trenchless HDD methods. Ideal candidates have a valid Class A CDL and experience with Vermeer or Ditch Witch rigs in rural or urban settings, plus ability to read prints and schematics.

You will train and mentor teammates, maintain equipment, and ensure safety compliance on site. This is a 100% field role based in Irma, WI with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required and must be able to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling around utilities in rural and urban areas; ability to read prints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Operates Directional Bore equipment for installation of underground cable conduit or utilities.
• Ensure proper steering based on job preparations and projections.
• Operate construction equipment to align and move machinery per grade specs.
• Maintain bore profile plots and provide drilling data to customers.
• Adhere to safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
• Inspect and maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Read utility locates and coordinate day lighting of facilities.
• Assist with basic labor tasks and ensure site setup/cleanup including traffic control.
