Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver - Hazmat in Phoenix, AZ. You will operate commercial vehicles to deliver products to customer locations and job sites, while complying with all DOT regulations and maintaining accurate records.

Hazmat endorsement and DOT medical certification are required. You will inspect vehicles, load/unload, secure cargo, and document deliveries, contributing to safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• CDL with Hazmat Endorsement and a clean driving record.
• Current DOT Medical Certification.
• Completion of FMCSA Registration.
• Ability to lift and handle freight up to 100 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass background, driving and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely to deliver to customer locations or job sites.
• Comply with all DOT, FMCSA and DOT hazmat regulations.
• Inspect vehicles before and after trips for safe operation.
• Load, unload and secure orders; separate hazardous materials.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and receipts.
• Take photos of delivered products as required by policy.
• Ensure routes and inventory accuracy to reduce errors.
• Support site safety and report hazards.

Job description

The CDL Driver - Hazmat is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver products to customer locations or job sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while following all DOT regulations. Our Drivers are essential partners in our success, delivering more than products—they deliver reliability, trust, and a great customer experience.

Hazmat is a MUST.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) rules and maintain a clean driving record to make sure company vehicles are operated safely and responsibly.
• Comply with all federal and state regulations regarding transportation of hazardous materials.
• Inspect vehicles before and after trips to help ensure safe and on-time deliveries.
• Load, unload, and organize orders carefully ensuring that all products are properly secured, and hazardous material is separated appropriately.
• Understand and adhere to FMCSA regulations.
• Double-check purchase orders and delivery tickets to confirm routes and inventory, helping reduce errors and improve customer satisfaction.
• Support job site safety by checking for and reporting any potential hazards, to help prevent accidents and protect people and property.
• Take photos of all delivered products as required by company policy.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and receipts.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 100 pounds throughout the workday.
• The job involves consistent physical activity, including bending, crouching, and prolonged seating and standing.
• Must meet DOT medical certification standards to operate vehicles safely.
• Work performed in a warehouse environment in conditions like noise, hot or cold temperatures.
• Driving in varied weather and traffic conditions.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) HAZMAT Endorsement
• Current DOT Medical Certification
• Completion of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) Registration
• Ability to continuously lift and handle freight/materials up to 100 pounds.
• A clean driving record (no hit & runs and no DWI/DUI in the last 18 months)
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance and OSHA safety regulations
• Basic computer skills to record deliveries and track inventory on a computer or tablet
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to pass background, driving and drug screening.
