Job summary

Empire Southwest is hiring for a truck driver to operate transportation equipment for pick-up and delivery of machinery, parts, and related loads. You will drive trucks with or without trailers, loading and unloading as needed, and ensure loads are secured and compliant with DOT rules.

The role requires a clean driving record, a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat, Doubles/Triples, and Tanker endorsements, and the ability to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clean, current driving record for the past 12 months.
• Must have current Class A CDL with Hazmat, Doubles/Triples, and Tanker endorsements.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate transportation equipment for pick-up and delivery of machinery, parts, and loads.
• Operate trucks with or without trailers; load and unload parts and equipment as required.
• Ensure loads are prepared, loaded, secured, and chain/strap usage is proper.
• Comply with DOT, state and local laws and weight/load limits; report hazardous issues.
• Take photos of damaged equipment and report immediately.
• Maintain manifests accuracy and safety compliance in daily operations.
• Work extra hours per DOT rules and company needs; follow safety policies.
