Job summary

AtWork Personnel is seeking a CDL A delivery driver to transport building materials to various job sites in Texas. The role requires adhering to DOT regulations, maintaining accurate logs, and communicating delivery status with customers and logistics teams.

The position is full-time with Monday–Friday hours 6am–3pm. Expect to perform inspections, operate ELD, and secure loads with proper straps, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• CDL A license is required.
• Two years verifiable tractor/trailer driving experience preferred.
• Clean MVR with no major violations in recent years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to residential and commercial job sites.
• Maintain logs of working hours or vehicle service per regulations.
• Complete delivery paperwork and coordinate with logistics and customers on loads and delivery times.
• Inspect vehicles for safety/operational defects and ensure emergency equipment is ready.
• Operate Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and follow company training.

Compensation:$20-hr

Hours:Monday- Friday 6am- 3pm

Duties:

• Delivering building materials to residential and commercial job sites
• Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
• Accurately complete corresponding delivery paperwork and work with logistics management and customers to communicate issues with loads and delivery time.
• Inspect vehicle(s) for any safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance and safety checklists and ensuring emergency equipment is in proper working order.
• Use of Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) during operation of vehicle; driver will be trained accordingly

Requirements:

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record
• No more than one (1) moving violation on the MVR in the previous three (3) years.
• No speeding, excessively, involving and speed of 15 mph or more above the posted speed limit in a 3-year period.
• Successfully pass a background check
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL
• Minimum of two (2) years verifiable tractor/trailer over-the-road or local driving experience for applicable tractor/trailer drivers.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills required
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds required.
• Securing straps across the width of a trailer to secure the product on flat bed trailers.
• Dropping and hooking trailers
• Accurately complete corresponding delivery paperwork and work with logistics management and customers to communicate issues with loads and delivery time.
• Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
• Use of Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) during operation of vehicle; driver will be trained accordingly
• Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes as needed to document weights and to comply with state regulations.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of job including proper wearing of company PPE.
