Job summary

PURIS is seeking a Construction Laborer in Kiowa, CO. The role involves hands-on outdoor work with sewer and stormwater rehabilitation projects. CDL is required and a valid driving record is needed. A sign-on bonus, full benefits, and a bonus structure are offered.

Responsibilities include site setup, equipment operation, and safe completion of tasks under supervision. Travel up to 90% may be required depending on projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in outdoor construction and physical labor is required.
• CDL preferred; safe driving record needed.
• CIPP experience preferred; OSHA or safety certifications recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist in locating, investigating, and cleaning sewer and stormwater lines for rehabilitation and repair.
• Direct equipment with alignment, movement, and machinery adjustments.
• Set up and clean job sites; lift and move items 50+ lbs as needed.
• Review permits and pre/post-installation videos; enter manholes and confined spaces.
• Operate vehicles to haul equipment and crew; maintain daily logbooks.
• Ensure safety compliance and report hazards to supervision.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Job Summary Description

This position is responsible for working effectively with supervisors and peers in locating, investigating, and cleaning for the successful rehabilitation and repair of various sewer and stormwater lines.

Essential Job Accountabilities

• Work successfully with supervisors and peers on various water and sewer rehabilitation and repair projects.
• Direct equipment with alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to location needs.
• Assist in initial setup and cleanup of job sites, including lifting, carrying, and pulling items 50+lbs in weight.
• Review entry and work permits; and assists in the review of pre and post-installation videos.
• Enter manhole/confined space.
• Perform job site setup and cleanup.
• Haul equipment and crew members by driving various vehicles.
• Complete driver’s daily record of duty.
• Submit work orders for vehicle and equipment maintenance, as needed.
• Continuously monitor for Safety hazards, and report any safety issues to the supervisor
• Other tasks, as assigned.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalency.

Experience

• Experience working in a physical labor position with outdoor construction required
• CIPP experience (preferred)
• CDL (Preferred)
• Acceptable driving record.
• Safety Certifications for Confined Space, Competent Person, 10 and/or 30 hour OSHA, as well as those related to traffic control, as required.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Must successfully pass a drug test, as well as driver’s license check for past 2 years without any suspensions or major traffic violations.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and haul up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to travel is required, as much as 90% if needed.
• Must be able to effectively work in confined spaces.
