Roadmaster Drivers School, a division of Werner Enterprises, Inc., seeks CDL Examiners to administer examinations in full compliance with local, state, and Federal rules and company policies. You will oversee testing, ensure safety of equipment, and maintain exam integrity across Pre-trip, Basic Skills, and On-Road segments.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A license, clean driving record, DOT medical clearance, and ability to communicate clearly.

Qualificações

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A license with endorsements as required by the Company.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations in the last 3 years and at least 3 years of over‑the‑road or local driving experience.
• Must pass and maintain a DOT physical per FMCSA guidelines.
• Must pass DOT drug screen and hair follicle test and agree to post‑accident and random testing.
• Must have or be able to obtain required local, state and federal approvals to be certified as a CDL Examiner.
• Must be able to communicate effectively using verbal, nonverbal and written skills.
• Demonstrate physical, intellectual and leadership ability to perform duties.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain reliability and integrity of exams and securely manage all testing materials and manuals.
• Attend all CDL refresher classes and stay updated on testing procedures.
• Remain professional, ethical and respectful to all associates, students and third parties.
• Submit all test evaluations and required reports on time.
• Assist training department when available within applicable regulations.

Duties And Responsibilities

• CDL examiners are considered quasi-state employees and are responsible for administering the CDL exams as prescribed by applicable state and Federal regulations, policies and procedures as well as policies and procedures established by the Company.
• Responsible for ensuring the safe driving and operation of testing equipment during exam and authorized to take over the controls of the test equipment if in the CDL Examiner’s opinion the vehicle is being driven in an unsafe manner or at any time immediately in order to avoid an accident.
• Responsible for maintaining the reliability and integrity of the CDL exams to include Pre-trip inspection, Basic Skills, and Over the Road Skills and the security and integrity of all testing materials and testing manuals issued by applicable authorities. Must immediately report any testing discrepancies or inaccuracies to the employee’s immediate supervisor.
• Responsible for attending all CDL refresher classes, and to be conversant with all updates in the testing procedures. Must at all times maintain public and personal creditability as a third-party state examiner.
• Must be professional and rational at all times and maintain a high ethical standard in performing all assigned duties. Must treat all Company associates, students, test subject and third parties with dignity, respect and professionalism at all times. Must at all times adhere to all policies and procedures established by the state monitor and the third-party exam facility.
• Examiners are responsible for complete, correct and timely submission of all test evaluations, forms, and required reports associated with CDL third party testing.
• CDL examiners are to assist with the training department when available in accordance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• A valid CDL Class A Commercial Driver’s License with all endorsements as required by the Company.
• Must have a clean driving record with no moving violations within the last 3 years, with a minimum of 3 years over the road or local driving experience or other criteria acceptable to the Company.
• Must be able to pass and continuously maintain a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) physical which is issued in accordance with all regulations and recommendations of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
• Must pass and approved DOT drug screen and hair follicle test (HFT) and agree to post-accident, random and suspicion-based drug testing.
• Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain all required local, state and Federal approvals to be certified as a CDL Examiner.
• Must hold a high school diploma, GED or higher, and demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate using verbal/non-verbal and written skills.
• Must demonstrate physical, intellectual and leadership ability to perform the duties outlined within this job description.
