Job summary

Sage Truck Driving School is seeking a CDL Tester to join our regulatory training team in New York. The role focuses on administering CDL examinations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and upholding safety standards for inter-state operation.

The CDL Tester will collaborate with the safety department, participate in regulatory compliance activities, and contribute to delivering reliable testing services to our students and in-country trucking partners.

Qualifications

• Must be an approved local State CDL Examiner.
• A safe CDL A driving record as determined by the SAGE Safety Department.
• Knowledge/Skill: Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of safe truck driving and all of the laws and regulations covering tractor-trailer interstate operations.
• Attitude: Examiners must show an attitude that is favorable toward performance. Examiner attitudes are assessed according to professionalism, respect, motivation, maturity, and safety.

Regulatory Compliance

CDL Examiners must meet the minimum qualifications for interstate tractor-trailer drivers in accordance with all requirements of the applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, including, but not limited to, meeting the physical and driver qualification standards of Part 391, as well as be able to pass as D.O.T. drug/alcohol screen.
