Job summary

Texas First Rentals in Granbury, TX, is seeking a driver to safely transport industrial and commercial equipment to job sites and branch stores. You will haul locally or long-distance, loading, securing, and delivering equipment with care.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting defects, performing basic maintenance, and completing DOT daily logs and trip sheets. You must hold a valid CDL Class A, DOT medical card, and have experience driving delivery trucks and towing

Qualifications

• Three years’ driving experience preferred, with verifiable over-the-road experience operating combination commercial vehicles
• Valid Class A CDL license and DOT medical card
• Experience driving delivery trucks and towing tandem trailers in busy environments
• Knowledge of safety procedures and DOT regulations

Responsibilities

• Delivery and pick up of equipment for customers in a safe and timely manner
• Secure equipment using chaining, strapping, and blocking per procedures
• Pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting defects
• Complete DOT daily log and trip sheets accurately
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and minor repairs
• Demonstrate proper equipment use to customers at delivery
• Obtain signatures on rental contracts and exchange forms
• Assist other departments as needed
