Job summary

Bear General Contractors in Pensacola, FL seeks an experienced Dump Truck Driver to safely transport materials to job sites. The role may involve operating a skid steer and assisting with on-site tasks. Candidates must have a valid Class A CDL with air brakes, DOT medical card, and at least two years’ experience.

Strong safety focus and reliable record-keeping are essential. You will perform inspections, maintain fuel and equipment, and document deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Valid DOT Medical Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating a dump truck or similar heavy vehicle.
• Ability to perform a complete pre-trip inspection and pass a drug screen.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Foreman/Superintendent to determine delivery schedules and load details.
• Operate dump truck safely and in full compliance with DOT regulations.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain daily equipment checklists.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly fueled and in good working condition at all times.
• Report any vehicle deficiencies or mechanical issues to the Foreman/Superintendent promptly.
• Maintain accurate and organized delivery and mileage records.
• Assist with manual labor tasks on-site as needed.
• Operate skid steer or similar equipment when not driving the dump truck.
• Uphold all construction site safety standards and protocols.
