Job summary

Ewing Outdoor Supply in Bastrop, TX is seeking a CDL Driver – Yard Associate to transport materials between locations and support daily yard operations.

You will deliver customer service, operate forklifts and yard equipment, and ensure safety and efficiency while maintaining inventory and meeting delivery schedules.

This dual role requires a valid CDL, knowledge of trucking regulations, and a proactive approach to planning routes and resolving issues.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a CDL Driver.
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc).
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Valid CDL license.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other yard equipment.
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to and from retail or distribution centers
• Assist in yard operations, including loading, unloading, and moving product
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Comply with CDL rules and regulations as well as company policies
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members to fulfill orders and resolve issues
• Report defects, accidents, or violations
