Job summary

Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is seeking a Transportation/Warehouse Associate Class-A to safely operate a commercial truck for pickup and delivery across a 34-county service area, in compliance with DOT/FMCSA laws and safety procedures.

The position runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with responsibilities including accurate Roadnet data entry, maintaining logs and pre-trip inspections, and assisting with loading/unloading in the warehouse while supporting a culture of teamwork

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Clean criminal background and driving history; able to pass a drug test.
• Valid NC Class-A CDL with minimum 5 years experience and GCWR up to 80,000 lbs.
• Ability to obtain powered warehouse equipment certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Food Bank Class-A commercial truck to pick up and deliver within the 34-county service area, safely and efficiently.
• Record Roadnet data for each stop (pickup or delivery) and log times and route notes accurately.
• Maintain transportation logs and vehicle inspections; communicate changes to Dispatch.
• Assist with loading/unloading in the warehouse and distribute products to proper locations.
• Perform other duties as directed.
