POOLCORP in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a CDL-ready driver for local deliveries. You will make safe, on-time deliveries, load/unload, and assist in warehouse operations while staying compliant with DOT/FMCSR requirements.

Candidates should be at least 21, possess a CDL (hazmat preferred), have a clean driving record, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and bonus programs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliveries to customers on time using efficient routes
• Load and unload vehicle; secure products and separate hazardous materials
• Collect payments and document deliveries accurately
• Maintain FMCSR compliance and perform pre/post-trip inspections
• Pull, pack, and set up orders for delivery or pickup; assist warehouse as needed
• Receive shipments, log into inventory and conduct regular audits
• Communicate with supervisors, sales staff, and customers; coordinate deliveries/pickups
• Operate forklift safely and maintain certification; report discrepancies
• Keep facility clean, safe and efficient; perform other duties as assigned

Location: Jacksonville East, FL - 681, 9301 Hogan Road, Jacksonville, Florida - 32246 Pay: $24 / hour plus bonuses! Work Hours: Dayshift Tractor Trailer, Flatbed, and Box Tuck experience preferred! What to expect?

CDL Drivers make safe, complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to customers while complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) and other applicable regulations. In this role the driver will also work in warehouse receiving/pulling orders in a fast-paced environment.

On a daily basis our drivers:

• Make deliveries using the most effective route to ensure orders are delivered on time.
• Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring that all products are properly secured, and hazardous material is separated appropriately.
• Collect payments and accurately document delivery.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)).
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and inform supervisor of any maintenance needed.
• Accurately pulls, fills, packs and sets up orders for delivery or pickup.
• Receives shipments, logs into inventory, maintains inventory through audits.
• Communicates positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up.
• Operates a forklift safely and efficiently, maintains required certification, performs vehicle safety checks and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Assists in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

To drive for POOLCORP you need:

• To be at least 21 years old.
• A valid commercial driver's license, preferably with HAZMAT endorsement.
• A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) indicating no more than 2 combined violations or at fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• The ability to maneuver heavy objects that can weigh up to 100 pounds.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• To carry out instructions with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with PCs and other material handling equipment (preferred).
• Moffett, Skelly or Air Brake experience a plus!
