Job Description

Select Chemistry’s CDL Hazmat Driver is responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight. The position builds loads for deliveries and maintains a safe, clean, and well‑organized work environment; loads and unloads oilfield equipment, and ensures quality control and safe operations during all aspects of the operation.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
  • Transport and deliver chemicals to regional internal customer sites within the region.
  • Use forklift to unload chemical totes at delivery sites.
  • Maintain DOT logs.
  • Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections on company vehicles based on DOT requirements.
  • Perform basic maintenance on company vehicles to ensure safe working condition.
  • Communicate with direct supervisor regarding repairs needed for vehicles.

  • Must be over 21 years of age.

  • Chemical experience is a plus.

Compensation Information

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Physical Demands and Exposures
  • Work is regularly performed in outdoor weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
  • Exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection.
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT pre‑employment physical.
  • Ability to individually lift up to 50 lbs.
  • This position is classified as safety‑sensitive and requires strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations. A strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment is essential, and the role may be subject to regular safety training and assessments.
