Job summary

Internetwork Expert is seeking a dependable Shop Technician / CDL Driver to support transportation and shop operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. The dual role covers material handling, production support, and delivery to job sites and company facilities.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team while complying with DOT and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old for interstate commercial driving.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles and transport materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and maintain required DOT documentation.
• Load, unload, stage, organize, and prepare materials for production or shipment.
• Operate shop equipment, hand tools, power tools, and material‑handling equipment.
• Assist with production, fabrication, and general shop operations.
• Support basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain inventory and a clean, safe work area.
• Follow DOT, OSHA, and PPE requirements.

Description

We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Shop Technician / CDL Driver to support transportation and shop operations. This dual‑role position performs general shop, material handling, production, and equipment support duties while also transporting materials, equipment, and supplies to job sites, customer locations, and company facilities as needed.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety‑driven, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Compensation

$24.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles and transport materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and maintain required DOT documentation.
• Load, unload, stage, organize, and prepare materials for production or shipment.
• Operate shop equipment, hand tools, power tools, and material‑handling equipment.
• Assist with production, fabrication, assembly, and general shop operations.
• Support basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate inventory and a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, company safety, and PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Work in a noisy industrial environment with exposure to dust and moving equipment.
• Wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel‑toe boots.
• Safely operate industrial equipment and maintain awareness of surroundings.
