Job summary

Welch Packaging is seeking a licensed driver to safely operate a tractor-trailer or box truck on a 1st shift (Mon-Fri) to deliver finished products to customers. You will comply with DOT regulations and company policies while ensuring accurate loading, on-time deliveries, and proper documentation.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and a CDLA license, with prior experience driving large vehicles and delivering freight.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• CDLA License required.
• Prior experience driving large vehicles (box truck/tractor-trailer).
• Demonstrated safe driving practices.
• Experience delivering freight preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer or box truck to deliver finished product following state and federal laws.
• Maintain vehicle per company policy and DOT requirements.
• Ensure on-time delivery along established routes while observing traffic laws and safety rules.
• Inspect loads for proper loading and verify counts before leaving the facility.
• Obtain signatures and date on bills of lading; return documentation to Transportation Manager.
• Adhere to performance measures and company procedures.
