Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a professional CDL driver in Georgia to transport raw materials and finished goods between customer locations, plants and mills. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate paperwork, and assist with loading/un loading as needed.

Responsibilities include complying with DOT regulations, safely operating heavy vehicles, and maintaining safety at all times. A clean driving record and successful background/drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is strongly preferred.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules and routing assignments.
• Must be able to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
• Flatbed cargo securement may be required.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must maintain good attendance.
• Must be able to perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting raw materials and finished goods between locations.
• Complying with DOT regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report repairs.
• Assist in loading and unloading of truck or trailer.
• Maintain accurate paperwork including weights and routing.
• Operate tractor trailer, box truck, and roll-off as required.
• Follow daily pickup and drop-off schedules.
• Make safety a priority at all times.
