Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a CDL Delivery Specialist to transport orders to local customer jobsites with a focus on safety and timely delivery. You will unload using a dump bed or truck-mounted forklift and strive to meet daily delivery schedules while delivering friendly, professional service.

The role requires a valid CDL, clean driving record, and experience with building materials. A team-oriented attitude is essential for success in a growing, family-owned company.

Qualifications

• Delivery experience, preferably with building materials and/or trusses.
• Experience operating a truck-mounted forklift.
• Valid CDL license and clean driving record.
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment.
• Ability to be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Transport orders to local customer jobsites safely and on time.
• Unload materials using dump bed or truck-mounted forklift.
• Maintain daily delivery schedules and provide friendly customer service.

Description

As one of our CDL Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to local customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner using our well-maintained and company-owned fleet. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. While on site, you will unload using dump bed or truck-mounted forklift to place the customer’s materials right where they need them.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials and/or trusses
• Experience operating a truck-mounted forklift
• An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
