Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Sparta, Wisconsin is hiring a CDL truck driver to operate residential/recycling routes with safety as a priority. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, follow route schedules, and ensure timely waste collection while maintaining equipment cleanliness.

Qualified candidates hold a valid CDL with at least 1 year of driving experience, can back up heavy trucks in tight spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs outdoors in all weather. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• CDL required with 1+ years of commercial driving experience (or CDL school certificate).
• Ability to maneuver and back up heavy trucks (120+ ft) safely in tight spaces.
• Lift up to 50 lbs repetitively (up to 100 lbs occasionally) and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drive residential/recycling trucks to collect waste along assigned routes; compact and load material safely.
• Complete daily pre-/post-trip inspections and log truck reports; report mechanical issues immediately.
• Wear required PPE, follow all safety rules, and report incidents right away.
• Keep truck clean, manage assigned Helpers, and attend safety/branch meetings.

Pay: $25 +/hour Based on Experience
