DCS Asset Maintenance in Waynesboro, Virginia, is seeking reliable CDL Drivers to operate snowplow trucks and ensure road safety during winter storms. This position is on an on-call basis, activated only during inclement weather, offering a pay rate of $35/hour.

Responsibilities include safely operating snowplow trucks, conducting vehicle inspections, and attending safety meetings. Qualifications require a valid CDL, a clean driving record, and willingness to travel to snow locations. DCSAM provides paid accommodations for out-of-town work.

Qualifications

DCS Asset Maintenance (DCSAM) is looking for reliable CDL Drivers to help keep Virginia roads clear and safe during winter weather. This position is on an on-call basis and will only be needed during periods of inclement winter weather.

LOT LOCATION

Thornburg, Virginia

What You’ll Do

• Operate snowplow trucks safely and responsibly during winter storms.
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety rules.
• Do pre‑and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any issues right away.
• Communicate with your Route Manager or Dispatch about any unsafe situations or service needs.
• Take part in required safety meetings and training sessions.
• Help other drivers or routes when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Have a valid Class A or B CDL.
• Pass a DOT drug screen and MVR review.
• Have a clean driving record — no serious violations or multiple accidents within the past 5 years.
• Be willing to travel to snow locations and stay for the duration of the event (hotel, travel time, and per diem paid by DCS).
• Prior snowplow experience is helpful but not required.
• Must attend an 8‑hour in‑person snow training before the season starts.
• Work is needed, depending on winter weather events determined by VDOT.
