Job summary

PODS in San Antonio, TX is seeking a delivery driver responsible for container delivery and pickup at customer sites. Maintain excellent rapport with customers, operate a truck with a lift, and perform inspections and repairs as needed.

The role requires a valid CDL Class B, DOT readiness, and ability to train in our New Hire Driver program. Wages range from $22.00 to $22.50 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class B license without air brake restriction.
• Current/valid driver license.
• Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain 1-year certificate (DOT).
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred.
• Math skills sufficient to perform duties.
• Attend required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pickup containers to/from customer locations.
• Drive and operate a commercial truck with lift mechanism.
• Perform daily pre/post trip inspections.
• Accept add-on deliveries as required.
• Use handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
• Operate forklift and/or overhead crane.
• Clean and inspect containers for delivery.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with customers.
• Communicate with Driver Lead or Market Manager; prepare driver notes.
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts in field/storage center.
• Provide backup for storage center functions.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck cab.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites in a safe manner by following all safety rules

Pay Rate: Minimum $22.00 per hr - Maximum $22.50 per hr

In accordance with New York, Colorado, California, Washington and other applicable laws, PODS is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity. A reasonable estimate of the current wage range is listed below.
