Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Portland, OR is seeking a Driver II to operate GVW trucks of 10,000 to 26,000 pounds to move cargo to and from customer locations, airline terminals, and trucking terminals. Emphasis on safety and DOT regulations ensures compliant, secure transport.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year related experience.
• Minimum 5years industry driving experiencemay be substituted for a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid state issued Class CDriver's License issued by the driver's home state of residence.
• Forklift Driver Certification. DOT Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials Certification. Must be bondable.

Responsibilities

• Act as a messenger and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Operate vehicle to transport materials safely and efficiently per DOT and TSA rules.
• Protect company equipment and freight from damage, theft or tampering.
• Ensure cargo is secured and documents are accurate before delivery.
• Load freight using forklift and pallet jack; unload using proper equipment.
• Report any irregularities related to pickup or delivery.
• Maintain radio contact with dispatch and report delays due to weather, breakdowns, or emergencies.
