Job summary

Reworld is seeking a CDL Driver II to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste between facilities and client sites. You will operate a variety of vehicles including vacuum tankers, vans, and flatbeds, with a sign-on bonus of $5,000.

Primary duties include safe driving under DOT regulations, performing vehicle inspections, and loading/unloading cargo with specialized equipment. Administrative tasks and compliance with safety protocols are required.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years or older and able to travel interstate.
  • Valid driver’s license and Class A CDL required.
  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial Class A driving experience, including tanker experience.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive commercial vehicles to transport goods/materials over long distances per safety procedures and DOT rules.
  • Operate vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, and flatbeds as needed.
  • Perform pre/post trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
  • Complete required paperwork and maintain safety documentation.

About the role

The CDL Driver II will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and the client's sites. Drivers will have the opportunity to operate a variety of manual and automatic transmission equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, and flatbeds.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Drive commercial vehicles to safely transport goods/materials over long distances according to established safety procedures and DOT regulations while meeting scheduled appointments
  • Drive trucks and operate specialized pump equipment on vehicles to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials
  • Perform pre/post trip inspections of vehicle and equipment
Additional Responsibilities
  • Administrative tasks and paperwork as it relates to transportation of hazardous/non-hazardous materials and vehicle/equipment maintenance (i.e., manifests, bills of lading, medical waste tracking, logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspections, incident reports, etc.)
  • Ensure the placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations
  • Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers regarding instructions, delivery status and any potential delays, etc.
  • Responsible for safety of fellow employees, clients and the public while operating company vehicles and/or performing any company activity
  • Interpret maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions
  • Complete additional assigned duties
Position Requirements
  • Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
  • Must have valid driver's license and Class A CDL license
  • Hazmat Endorsement
  • Tanker Endorsement
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial Class A driving experience, including tanker experience.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • High School Diploma / GED preferred.

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb for long periods of time
  • Ability to grab, grip, reach, push, pull, lift/carry 50lbs
  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces

The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 25.10 - 33.37 USD per hour
