Job summary

Buckley Powder Co. is seeking dedicated drivers to join our team. Drivers operate semi-truck, straight truck, and other equipment to deliver products to customer accounts in a safe and timely manner, with strict attention to inventory control and regulatory compliance.

This role is 70% physical labor and 30% driving, outdoors in varying weather. Candidates must hold a valid CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements, pass ATF background checks, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; safety gear is

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements and one year experience (preferred).
• Pass ATF background check.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Clean MVR and Background.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Reliable and customer oriented.
• Safety oriented.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive various types of trucks, including semi-trucks and straight trucks, to transport materials and equipment to customer locations.
• Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards while on the road.
• Plan and follow efficient routes using maps and GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
• Accurately document inventory levels.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents that occur during transportation.
• Prepare and maintain all records concerning the use and detonation of explosives, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate billing.
• Knowledgeable of and compliance with applicable DOT, OSHA, MSHA, EPA and BATFE regulations.
• Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment.
