Job summary

Roberts Oxygen in Johnstown, PA is seeking a dedicated CDL Driver for local routes. You will deliver safe, timely shipments, read maps, and follow a computer-generated Route and Sequence plan while maintaining excellent customer relations.

Responsibilities include handling high-pressure cylinders, using handheld devices, and potential after-hours coverage. The role requires a current CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements, a clean driving record, and a willingness to grow with our team.

Qualifications

• Current Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs and operate trucks safely.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Excellent driving record and pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver local routes on schedule and safely.
• Read maps and follow a route plan to delivery locations.
• Build positive customer relationships during visits.
• Use handheld computers for transactions and compliance.
• Load and unload cylinders and equipment as needed.

As a local route delivery driver, you'll be a key player in providing safe, timely, and accurate deliveries—while building great relationships with customers and working closely with our internal production teams.

Responsibilities and requirements:

• Current Class A or B CDL with (or willing to obtain) Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
• Safely operate company truck and equipment
• Represent the company and proactively build customer relationships through excellent and appropriate customer interactions
• Read maps and selects best route to reach address delivery location, Drivers follow a computer-generated Route and Sequence delivery plan
• Handheld computers are used for conducting customer transaction paperwork as well as compliance needs
• Handle, maneuver, load, and organize high pressure and cryogenic cylinders and palletized hard goods on trucks and trailers
• Ability to install beverage micro bulk CO2 systems
• Available to cover after hours, weekend, holiday, and on call work as business requires
• Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal regulations and laws
• Ability to lift 100lbs
• High school education or equivalent
• Excellent driving record and if selected, ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
