Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, LLC in Florida is seeking a Class B CDL driver to operate on assigned routes, conduct pre/post trip inspections, and ensure safety and on-time service.

You will interact with dispatchers, complete required reports, and maintain vehicle readiness while complying with DOT regulations and FCC safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED completed.
• Class B CDL required.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary.
• Must meet DOT qualifications and Clearinghouse profile.
• Substance abuse testing as part of onboarding and employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of commercial vehicles.
• Safely operate vehicles on assigned routes including highways and residential areas.
• Maintain safety policies while using vehicle controls.
• Interact professionally with dispatchers and customers daily.
• Complete required reports and maintain productivity standards.
• Keep vehicle operational readiness to minimize downtime.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs complete pre and post operation inspection of a commercial vehicle in accordance with FCC policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels; safety equipment, gauges, etc. are in proper working order
• Safely operates commercial vehicles on assigned routes to include highways, residential communities and alleyways
• Operates manual and/or automatic controls in accordance with FCC’s safety policies and procedures Operates equipment joystick multiple times per route
• Courteously interacts with all necessary personnel, dispatchers, and others on a daily basis to ensure all services are completed in a timely and professional manner
• Continuously monitors the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time
• Accurately completes required documents and other reports as required
• Maintains adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner
• Adheres to and upholds all safety policies and procedures.

Education:

• High School diploma or GED

Experience and Competencies:

• Class B commercial driver’s license
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary
• Must meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation regulations
• Clearinghouse profile required
• FCC is a drug-free workplace. Substance abuse guidelines are in place. Substance abuse testing is a requirement for both the initial on-boarding procedure and random testing for continued employment.
