Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Cornelia, Georgia is seeking a Driver Non-Dot Freight Handler to operate trucks safely, perform daily DOT logs, and deliver freight to various destinations in compliance with State, Federal, and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, coordinating pickups and deliveries, loading and unloading freight, operating a forklift, supervising warehouse inventory, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment while documenting all paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of industry driving experience; 1 year in current vehicle type.
• 1–3 years freight handler experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck safely and in compliance with State, Federal and DOT regulations; complete daily logs and inspections.
• Review orders to ensure freight is recorded and delivered to the correct destination.
• Coordinate pickups/deliveries; load/unload freight; operate forklift for warehouse transfers.
• Oversee warehouse inventory; containerize, palletize, package, and stage freight neatly for shipment.
• Inspect assigned unit; ensure equipment is in good repair; sign off paperwork on arrival.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized warehouse; perform forklift maintenance.
