Job summary

Kempsville Building Materials, a division of Carter Lumber, is hiring a CDL Delivery Specialist to transport orders to local customer jobsites using our well-maintained fleet. You will unload on site with a dump bed or truck-mounted forklift and ensure daily delivery schedules are met while delivering friendly customer service.

The role requires previous delivery experience, a current CDL license, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials.
• Experience operating a truck-mounted forklift.
• An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license.
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred.
• Ability to be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Transport orders to local customer jobsites safely and timely using our fleet.
• Unload materials on site with dump bed or truck-mounted forklift.
• Ensure daily delivery schedules are met and provide friendly customer service.

Description:

As one of our CDL Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to local customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner using our well-maintained and company-owned fleet. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. While on site, you will unload using dump bed or truck-mounted forklift to place the customer’s materials right where they need them.

Requirements:

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials
• Experience operating a truck-mounted forklift
• An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
• Experience with truck mounted forklift
• 6am-4pm M-F; $20-$23/hr
