Job summary

Carter Lumber in Michigan is seeking a CDL Delivery Specialist to transport orders to local customer jobsites, using our well-maintained fleet, and ensuring on-time delivery with friendly customer service. On-site duties include unloading with dump bed or truck-mounted forklift and placing materials exactly where customers need them, while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials.
• Experience operating a truck-mounted forklift.
• A valid CDL license and clean driving record.
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Transport orders to local customer jobsites using our fleet in a safe, timely manner.
• Maintain daily delivery schedules and provide friendly customer service.
• Unload at customer sites using a dump bed or truck-mounted forklift and place materials on site.

Description

As one of our CDL Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to local customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner using our well-maintained and company-owned fleet. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. While on site, you will unload using dump bed or truck-mounted forklift to place the customer’s materials right where they need them.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials
• Experience operating a truck-mounted forklift
• An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
