Job summary

J2 Resources, LLC, a Harrington company, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team in Houston. You’ll perform order processing, receiving, packing, forklift operations, and coordinate deliveries while upholding safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 yrs warehouse experience preferred.
  • CDL licensed driver.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skills.
  • General inventory knowledge, data entry and computer skills may be required.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Operates forklifts in compliance with OSHA requirements.
  • Able to work independently with minimal direction and as a team player.
  • Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment.
  • Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Lift/carry/maneuver heavy material up to 50 lbs.
  • Bilingual (Preferred).
  • Overtime if necessary.
  • Pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Mandatory truck safety checks and records.
  • Receive and process incoming orders and provide thorough documentation.
  • Pulling, filling, packing, and setting up orders for delivery or pickup.
  • Ability to determine the status of an order when requested.
  • Ability to follow special instructions pertaining to an individual order.
  • Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person.
  • Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers, and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up.
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, maintain required certification, perform vehicle safety checks, and report discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Assist with order expediting and completing UPS shipments.
  • Assist in keeping the warehouse clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently.
  • Process returns accurately.
  • Follow all established policy and safety guidelines in a drug-free workplace.
  • Attending product knowledge meetings as required by management.
  • Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required.
  • Present a neat and professional image.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
