Job summary

American Biosoils & Compost, LLC, a partner of H&K Group, Inc., seeks motivated Class A and B CDL drivers with manual transmission experience to join our team in Douglassville, PA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• CDL Class A with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B with 1 year of tri-axle experience.
• Manual transmission experience; clean driving record.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow safety policies.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and wear PPE as needed.
• Preferred: 3 years of heavy civil construction driving; Hazmat and Tanker endorsements; MSHA/OSHA training.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck to destination while adhering to MSHA and safety policies.
• Maintain and update truck log and documents.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies (tires, lights, brakes, oil, water).
• Load/unload, tarp loads, and secure cargo as required.
• Communicate with supervisor for delivery instructions and safety issues.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.

Overview

American Biosoils & Compost, LLC, a partner of H&K Group, Inc.,is currently seeking motivated Class A and B CDL drivers with manual experience to become a part of our team. Our CDL drivers satisfy a critical role. This position places an emphasis on reliability and attentiveness, as maintaining both a truck log and the trucks themselves are daily responsibilities that come along with the position. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and a strong communicator.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all work adhering to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Drives truck to destination
• Prepares receipts for load pick up
• Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations and company policy
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions
• Loads and unloads truck
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
• Performs daily pre and post trip of vehicle
• Tarps all loads when public roadway travel is necessary
• Trims all loads prior to tarping when necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
• Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience
• Manual transmission experience
• Clean driving record
• Customer Service and Teamwork
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• 3 years of commercial driving experience
  • Strong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experience
• Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
• TWIC card
• Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
• MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
