Job summary

FCC Environmental Services in Orlando is seeking a reliable Class B CDL driver to join our waste services team. You will perform pre- and post-operation checks, operate on assigned routes, and ensure safety and timely service for residential and commercial areas.

You will interact with co-workers and customers, complete required paperwork accurately, and maintain vehicle readiness to minimize downtime while following FCC safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Class B commercial driver’s license.
• Garbage/Recycling experience preferred.
• DOT regulations knowledge required.
• Clearinghouse profile required.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Completes pre- and post-operation checks of commercial vehicles.
• Safely operates vehicles on assigned routes including residential areas and alleys.
• Interact courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure timely services.
• Continuously monitors vehicle status to reduce downtime.
• Completes necessary paperwork and reports accurately.

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Completes a pre- and post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.Ensure commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.Ability to manually and/or automatically operate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures.Engage courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure that all services are performed in a timely and professional way.Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime.Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely and effective way.Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.Education:High School diploma or GEDExperience and Competencies:Garbage/Recycling experience preferredClass B commercial driver’s licenseAbility to lift or carry heavy objects as necessaryMust meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation regulationsClearinghouse profile requiredFCC is a drug-free workplace.
