Job summary

Curtis Lane Equipment is seeking a CDL A heavy haul driver for local deliveries of Bobcat equipment to job sites. No nights or weekends, home daily.

You will operate tractors/trailers over 26,000 lbs, keep logs, pass background and drug tests, and maintain safety. Benefits include 401k match, health benefits after 60 days, PTO and holidays, boot and tool allowance, and uniforms.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• 2+ years proven tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Drive trucks over 26,000 lbs gross vehicle weight.
• Ensure trailer hitch and tractor are securely attached.
• Load/unload goods at destinations and manage yard duties.

Requirements

Class A Truck Driver Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle


• Drive trucks with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000lbs.


• Ensure trailer hitch and tractor unit are properly and securely attached


• Safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery and load/unload goods at selected destinations


• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs


• Track and report working hours


• Adhere to company rules and regulations


• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather and road conditions


• Comply with ICC and DOT regulations


• Make safety a priority at all times


• Perform light yard duty and maintenance of our rental fleet

Class A Truck Driver Requirements And Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred


• Valid Class A driver's license required


• 2+ years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred


• Clean driving record with no moving violations


• Must pass a background check and drug test


• Skilled at driving large vehicles
