Job summary

World Electric, part of the Sonepar family, is hiring a CDL Driver (Class A) to join our Florida/Georgia delivery team. You will deliver materials to customers using a company truck and ensure products are in safe condition.

This full-time role begins at 5am. You must hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean MVR, know DOT regulations, and be able to lift up to 75 lbs while communicating effectively with sales, managers, and customers to meet delivery needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum one year of CDL driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Strong math and reading skills; effective communication.
• Ability to operate various commercial vehicles and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers using a company-provided truck.

What You 0 0Will Do

The CDL Warehouse Driver is the face of World Electric, delivering materials to customers using a company-provided truck. Responsibilities include operating company equipment safely and ensuring products are in good condition for customers.

You Will

• Communicate with sales associates or managers to meet customer needs through problem solving.
• Act in a helpful and cooperative manner toward customers and World associates.
• Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Ensure trucks are in safe operating condition and maintain a clean appearance.
• Frequently lift, push, and slide packages up to 75 lbs.
• Construct pallets based on delivery area to prevent stock damage during delivery.
• Participate in processes and programs promoting a safe work environment.
• Handle and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You 0Will Bring

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of experience as a CDL Driver

Requirements:

• Strong math and reading skills
• Valid CDL License (Class A) with a clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Knowledge of DOT regulations
• Ability to operate various commercial vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, box trucks)
