Job summary

ProLift Rigging is seeking a skilled Rigging Technician to align, level, and rig cranes and equipment for lifting, relocation, and maintenance of heavy plant machinery. You will assemble rigging systems, connect overhead gear, and control crane movements in tight spaces, while ensuring safety and inspection standards.

The role requires travel, weekend/overnight availability, a valid CDL-A, a clean MVR, and solid math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license is required.
• Clean MVR is required.
• Knowledge of crane operations and rigging.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime.
• Excellent communication and math/calculation skills.
• Flexibility for weekends and overnight stays.
• Rigging experience required.
• Knowledge of crane hand signals.

Responsibilities

• Aligns, levels, and anchors cranes and equipment.
• Assembles and installs supporting structures, rigging, hoist, and pulling gear.
• Connects pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts, shackles, and clamps.
• Cleans and dresses machine and surfaces of parts.
• Controls movements of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.
• Dismantles, maintains, and stores rigging equipment.
• Manipulates rigging lines, hoist to move or support materials, steel, and concrete.
• Selects gears, cables, and shackles according to load size, facilities, and work schedule.
• Signals or gives direction to workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety.
• Tests rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in hoisting and lifting.

Required Qualifications:

• CDL – CLASS A required
• Clean MVR required
• General Crane’s knowledge
• Must have excellent mechanical reasoning.
• Good perception of math applications, weights, measurement, and balance
• Must be flexible with your schedule, able to travel, and able to work overtime.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Rigging experience required
• Knowledge of crane hand signals is required.
• Flexibility to travel is a must, which may include weekends and overnight stays.

Education:

Must pass a drug test and background check

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
