Job summary

Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG) is seeking a CDL Driver to deliver materials to customer sites on local routes while upholding safety and professional service. This full-time role offers a competitive base pay with benefits within a supportive, safety-focused culture.

The position requires a valid Class A or B CDL, at least 1 year of commercial driving experience, and the ability to operate forklifts and other equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Possess valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Minimum 1-year consistent commercial driving experience.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Leadership may be requested to direct and supervise within their department.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates company vehicles, including up to 26’ trucks, in DOT compliance.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Deliver materials to customer project sites on time with excellent service.
• Additional training such as Forklift or other equipment may be required.
• Basic understanding of forklift and other equipment operation.
• Unload materials at delivery locations and verify against packing slips.
• Ensure deliveries are handled professionally and courteously.
• Unload, protect, move and stage materials as directed by customer.
• Basic understanding of building materials.
• Adhere to driving regulations and maintain a safe warehouse.
• Follow OSHA requirements and wear PPE as needed.
• Attend required meetings related to material delivery and company operations.
• Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
• Frequent use of hands; long hours of driving or sitting in vehicles; lifting up to 80 lbs; team-based work.

Key Responsibilities

• Physical Job Requirements
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation
  • Frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day
  • Occasionally lift and/or move 80 lbs. and climb ladders carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces. Some functions may be performed as a team
  • Must be able to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles and must understand and be able to use miscellaneous tools and equipment, including but not limited to: dollies, flat carts, and rock carts
