Job summary

Cleanslate is seeking a CDL B Delivery Driver in Rahway, NJ to join our team. You will safely operate rear-loading trucks, plan efficient routes, and ensure timely deliveries to institutional, commercial, and retail customers.

The role requires strong customer service, ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to DOT and company safety standards; we offer weekly pay, health/dental/vision, 401K matching, life insurance, paid holidays and PTO, and referral program.

Qualifications

• Hold valid CDL B license with a clean driving record.
• Experience delivering to commercial customers preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Comfort working independently.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain logs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a rear-loading truck or van.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes for efficiency and timeliness.
• Provide prompt, courteous deliveries on your designated route.
• Maintain delivery logs, including mileage, fuel, and delivery times.
• Follow customer delivery specifications to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure vehicle safety standards and perform pre/post-operation inspections.
• Comply with traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and other team members.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a rear-loading truck or van as you embark on your deliveries.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes for efficiency and timeliness.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate deliveries along your designated route.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs, including mileage, fuel, and delivery times, as you manage your routes.
• Meticulously follow customer delivery specifications to ensure a high level of satisfaction as you make deliveries.
• Ensure your vehicle adheres to all safety standards before you operate it for your deliveries.
• Diligently perform thorough pre and post-operation inspection checklists to keep your vehicle in top condition.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies while driving.
• Verify that all products loaded on your vehicle match the bill of lading before you embark on deliveries.
• Execute product deliveries and transfers as required for efficient operations.
• Interact professionally with customers during your deliveries, addressing inquiries or concerns with courtesy.
• Promptly report any vehicle issues and perform routine maintenance checks to keep your vehicle in optimal condition.
• Resolve delivery issues or unexpected challenges effectively, showcasing your problem-solving skills.
• Adapt to changes in delivery schedules, routes, or other work‑related variables with flexibility.
• Strictly adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of both yourself and others.
• Demonstrate physical stamina for loading and unloading goods and other physically demanding tasks.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Required Skills:

• Safely operate a rear‑loading truck or van
• Provide prompt, courteous, and correct deliveries on a designated route
• Follow customer delivery specifications to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
• Ensure the vehicle complies with all safety standards before operating the vehicle
• Perform pre and post‑operation inspection checklist
• Verify all products loaded on the vehicle match the bill of lading before delivery
• Must do delivery of products and transfers as necessary
• Entry level accepted, 1+ years of experience preferred
• Ability to interact professionally with others and work independently
• Highly dependable
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
• Experience in a customer‑facing position

Pay range: $25-26 per hour based on experience.
