Job summary

Gator Gypsum, Inc. is seeking a delivery driver to operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently, delivering materials to commercial and residential sites while upholding customer service standards.

The role requires a CDL Class B, a clean MVR, and knowledge of DOT regulations. You will load/unload materials, assist customers, and maintain compliance records as needed in West Palm Beach, FL.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
CDL, minimum Class B; Class A preferred.
Clear three-year MVR.
Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

Position Summary

The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies along with Federal and State regulations and delivers all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing a world class customer service experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Inspect truck or trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
Deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others. Maintain accurate records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations. Report all accidents involving the driver or company equipment. Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for loading/unloading. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.

Basic Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), minimum Class B; Class A strongly preferred.
Clear three‑year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to self‑manage, show initiative, and drive results.
Commitment to inclusivity and teamwork across all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements

Remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time.
Lifting heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading and unloading.
Frequent movement of materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed.
Operate and maneuver a commercial vehicle and/or boom vehicle efficiently.
Communicate effectively with management and coworkers, exchanging accurate information.
Work continuously in an outdoor environment during deliveries.
