Job summary

Arcosa Inc. is seeking a full-time CDL Class A truck driver for our plant and warehouse operations. You will record work orders and mileage, prepare and provide delivery documentation, and ensure loads are secured and vehicles are in safe operating condition.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of verifiable driving experience, an up-to-date CDL Class A license, and a strong commitment to safety. Excellent attendance and independence are essential for this role, with potential weekend/holiday

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience.
  • CDL Class A license required (up-to-date).
  • Equipment loading experience is required.
  • Must have acceptable MVR and previous employment history.
  • Insurable under company motor vehicle policy.

Responsibilities

  • Record work orders, mileage, PM services, etc.
  • Prepare, receive, and provide documentation for delivery or pickup of goods to ensure timely service.
  • Ensure truck is loaded properly and load secured; verify operational condition and no damages.
  • Maintain radio/phone contact with dispatcher for instructions and schedule changes.
  • Maintain logs of travel and cargo per federal and state regulations.
  • Follow company safety policies and report accidents immediately.
  • Keep shop and haul trucks clean and uncluttered.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • Must have an up-to-date Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A
  • Equipment loading experience required
  • Acceptable MVR and previous employment history
  • Must be insurable under the company motor vehicle insurance polic
  • Dedication to safety and accident prevention
  • Prompt, regular and predictable attendance
  • Attention to detail with strong organization skills
  • Operate with a high degree of independence
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
Working Conditions
  • Hourly Full- time position;
  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas
  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
  • Hard hats, ear protection, safety glasses, and steel toe shoes required when on shop floor.
