K&A Appliance Inc is seeking a safe and reliable commercial CDL-A driver for a full-time role in the Lancaster area. Expect 40–50 hours weekly, home every day, and weekends off with predictable Monday–Friday schedules.

Most runs are within a few hours; some long-haul opportunities with drop & hook and occasional live loads. Benefits include 401(k) matching, employee discounts, free uniforms, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania Class A CDL Driver's License required.
• Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate required.
• 10+ years tractor trailer experience with manual transmission.
• No major violations in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Up to 5 days a week, mostly Monday through Friday.
• Typical working hours between 7am (or 9am) and 5:30pm.
• Full-Time position 40 to 50 hours per week.
• Home every day and weekends free.
• Maximum distance rarely over 4.5 hours away.
• Arranging the cleaning, repair and maintenance of fleet of company vehicles.
• Transport tractors and trailers for maintenance work or cleanings.
• Jockeying tractors and trailers on campus.
• Make your own hours for long hauls; Drop & Hook plus some live loads.
• No touch loads; operate liftgate as needed.
• No hazardous hauling.
• Some local deliveries.

We are looking for a safe & reliable commercial (CDL, Class-A) driver interested in Full-time employment with our company.

About K&A:

K&A Appliance has been family owned since 1976. Buying predominately new, but scratch and dent appliances from various manufacturers & selling them on both wholesale & retail levels, K&A continues to experience growth & success in the scratch & dent appliance industry.

Responsibilities, Duties & Description of Work:

• Up to 5 Days a week, mostly Monday through Friday
• Typical working hours between 7am (or 9am) & 5:30pm
• Full-Time position 40 to 50 hours per week
• Home every day & weekends free
• Maximum distance rarely over 4.5 hours away
• Arranging the cleaning, repair & maintenance of fleet of company vehicles
• Transport tractors/trailers for maintenance work or cleanings
• Jockeying tractors and trailers on campus
• Make your own hours for long haulsDrop & Hook plus some live loads
• No touch loads, our commercial drivers do not load/unload, and only need to operate the liftgate for those who do
• No hazardous hauling
• Some local deliveries

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting at $26 to $30 per hour.
• Same pay rate from clock in to clock out, when driving long/short hauls, or if just on campus managing vehicles
• All tractors & trailers are very clean and are well maintained
• Closed Sundays & 6 major holidays
• Working 40 to 50 hours per week, as needed
• Weekly payroll, direct deposited
• After 3 months, qualify for paid time off (earned throughout the full year) & holiday pay
• After 3 months, qualify to participate in company 401k plan, with a company match up to 5%
• (No Health Insurance is provided at this time)

Qualifications:

• Posses a valid, current Pennsylvania Class A CDL Driver's License
• Posses a valid, current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
• 10+ years tractor trailer experience, operating commercial manual transmission
• No major violation in the last 3 years

This is an ideal position for drivers with extensive experience who wish to semi-retire, but still drive on occasion, where you will be able to return home every night and have your weekends free.
