Job summary

dnata Catering in Houston, TX is seeking a CDL Driver responsible for safe operation of catering trucks and ensuring timely delivery of aviation catering services. You will load/unload carts, communicate with flight crews, and maintain vehicle cleanliness while adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL with air brake endorsement, at least one year of driving experience, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or airline catering environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow HACCP, GMP, and sanitation policies for proper food handling.
• Follow Ramp Safety policies, including wearing safety vests on the airfield.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

As a CDL Driver at dnata Catering, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of catering trucks and other company vehicles. This role is essential to ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of aviation catering services. You will represent dnata with a professional, courteous, and service-oriented approach when interacting with clients within the aviation industry. In addition to driving duties, you may assist with loading and unloading catering supplies, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and completing routine vehicle inspections. Strong attention to detail, strict adherence to safety regulations, and effective route navigation are critical to supporting the overall success of our catering operations.

You Will:

• Load and unload all carts, trash, and items to be laundered to and from catering truck to designated aircraft in a safe and efficient manner.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, with at least one (1) year of driving experience.
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with air brake endorsement required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or airline catering environment preferred.

Requirements & Skills

• Ability to meet all requirements necessary to obtain a Port ID in accordance with TSA regulations, including 49 CFR §1542.209.
• Must meet all applicable state and local food handler certification requirements for the work location (Texas requires a Food Handler Certificate within 60 days of hire).
• Strong attention to detail.

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.
