Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Propane Bobtail Driver to safely and efficiently deliver propane to residential and commercial customers. You will load and unload, maintain a clean vehicle, and use technology to track deliveries and print tickets.

This full-time role emphasizes safety and exceptional customer service. The position offers overtime during peak seasons, potential for a sign-on bonus, and development opportunities in a safety-forward environment.

Qualifications

• Delivery driver experience required.
• CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement preferred.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred and DOT medical certification required.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Use technology to monitor inventory, tank levels and print delivery tickets.
• Perform pre/post vehicle and site inspections and report issues.
• Coordinate with Dispatcher on routing and safety matters.
• Work overtime when needed and perform other duties as assigned.

The Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Current DOT medical certification
• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

The hourly rate for this position is $26.00 - $28.00 per hour.
