Job summary

Glen Eddy Niskayuna is seeking a CDL Driver to provide safe, door-to-door transportation for residents in a part-time role. Hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with occasional Friday coverage, located at One Glen Eddy Dr, Niskayuna, NY.

The role requires a CDL with Passenger Endorsement, NY Driver’s License, and at least one year of transporting individuals with mobility needs, preferably older adults. Training and a supportive team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid New York State Driver's License.
• CDL with Passenger Endorsement required.
• Minimum one year of experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs, preferably older adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable door-to-door transportation for residents.
• Assist residents entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Operate wheelchair lifts and mobility equipment.
• Ensure passenger safety and comfort during transport.
• Perform occasional heavy lifting and pushing as needed.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with residents and families.

CDL Driver - Glen Eddy

Per Diem | Mixed Shift

Hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional Friday coverage from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

What You Will Do

As a CDL Driver, you will provide safe, reliable, door-to-door transportation for residents traveling to:

• Medical appointments
• Shopping trips
• Community outings
• Recreational activities
• Other scheduled destinations

Responsibilities

• Safely operate community transportation vehicles.
• Assist residents entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Operate wheelchair lifts and mobility equipment.
• Ensure passenger safety and comfort throughout transport.
• Perform occasional heavy lifting and pushing as needed.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with residents and families.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid New York State Driver's License.
• CDL with Passenger Endorsement required.
• Minimum one year of experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs, preferably older adults.

Pay Rate

$18.50 - $24.55

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
