Job summary

Four Star Freightliner is seeking a CDL holder for a part-time, flexible-hours Dispatch/Transfer Driver role. You will shuttle trucks between our locations and to customer terminals, with mostly same-day runs and some overnight opportunities.

Responsibilities include safe pickup/delivery, customer service, and paperwork handling, plus pre-trip inspections. Candidates must have a valid Class A/B CDL, be able to drive manual transmission, and meet insurance requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to meet insurance requirements.
• Valid Class A or B CDL required.
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle equipment and operating systems.
• Understanding of federal and state regulations for operating trucks.
• Resourceful, collaborative team player who can also work independently.
• Safety minded.
• Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.
• DOT drug screening required by federal regulations.
• EOE, Smoke Free/Drug Free Facility.

• Engage positively with customers and provide paperwork/information about work performed.
• Keep vehicles clean and presentable per company standards.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks as assigned.

Four Star Freightliner is on the lookout for a skilled Dispatch/Transfer Driver to join our team. In this role, you'll be shuttling trucks between our locations or to customer terminals. We offer flexible scheduling and mostly same-day shuttle runs but some overnight

What We're Looking For:

• We're seeking candidates with a positive, can-do attitude, an excellent driving record, and a Class A or B CDL
• The number of hours will vary but will workday shifts throughout the week- but we are looking for someone who is flexible to work as needed

Your Responsibilities

• Safely pick up and deliver customer units to and from our Service Department.
• Shuttle Class 6-8 trucks or chase vehicles between dealerships or customer sites across AL, FL & GA
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging positively and delivering necessary paperwork, documentation, or information regarding work performed or any special accommodations.
• Keep vehicles clean and presentable, adhering to company standards.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks as assigned.
