Job summary

ABC Supply, America’s largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, seeks a licensed CDL driver in Manassas, VA. You will ensure safety from branch to customer site and adhere to delivery schedules with professional service.

Responsibilities include documenting each delivery with photos, performing thorough load checks, and handling logs and paperwork. Competitive hourly pay with benefits after 60 days.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL – Class A or B.
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly.
• Pre-employment and random drug screens.
• Box/flatbed/trailer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building products safely and on schedule.
• Document each delivery with photos and logs.
• Load checks before leaving the branch and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with Delivery Material Handler for unloading.
• Provide customer invoicing on COD deliveries.

At ABC Supply, we have YOUR future covered.Specific duties may include:Treating customers in a friendly and professional mannerConducting a safe work zone during each job siteAdhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives preciselyDocumenting every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone systemCompleting a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulationsWorking in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set the materials and unloading themCompleting and filing all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely mannerProviding the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collecting the entire due amount on COD deliveriesResponsibilities may include warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assignedThis position does not require over the road travelSpecific qualifications include:Valid CDL – Class A or BThe ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (your most common cargo will be 70 pound bundles of shingles)Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are requiredBox and/or flatbed truck experience is preferredKnuckle boom truck experience is preferredTrailer mounted forklift experience is preferredCrane certification is requiredHazmat endorsement is requiredBenefits may include:Health, dental, and vision coverage - eligible after 60 days, low out of pocket401(k) with generous company match - eligible after 60 days, immediately vestedEmployer paid employee assistance programEmployer paid short term and long term disabilityEmployer paid life insuranceFlex spendingPaid vacationPaid sick daysPaid holidaysPay Rate Information:$26-30/hr.
