Job summary

ABC Supply Co. Inc. in Madison, WI is hiring a licensed CDL driver to deliver building products safely and reliably. You will be home every night, supporting both residential and commercial customers with professional service.

Shift is Monday through Friday, 7am–5pm. Ideal candidates hold a Class A or B CDL, can lift 75–100 lbs, and have experience with flatbed or related trucks; crane cert is a plus. ABC Supply offers strong benefits and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL – Class A or B.
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (70 pound bundles of shingles).
• Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens required.
• Flatbed, straight, knuckle and/or drywall boom truck experience preferred.
• Crane certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct a safe work zone during each job site.
• Adhere to delivery schedule and follow all job directives.
• Document each delivery with photos using the company camera phone system.
• Complete a load check before leaving the branch and ensure cargo is secured.
• Coordinate with Delivery Material Handler to place materials and unload.
• File logs and government paperwork accurately and timely.
• Provide customer with invoice and collect payment on COD deliveries.
• Assist with warehouse tasks including loading/unloading materials as needed.
• This position does not require over the road travel.

Specific Duties May Include

• Treating customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Conducting a safe work zone during each job site
• Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely
• Documenting every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system
• Completing a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Working in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set the materials and unloading them
• Completing and filing all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
• Providing the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collecting the entire due amount on COD deliveries
• Responsibilities may include warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assigned
• This position does not require over the road travel
