Job summary

A leading building materials firm based in North Bergen, NJ is seeking experienced full-time drivers to safely deliver and unload products. Candidates must have a valid CDL, experience with manual transmissions, and strong customer service skills. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience driving a commercial motor vehicle preferred.
• Clean motor vehicle record is a must.
• Must pass all DOT requirements including physical examination and drug screen.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and handle building products.
• DOT compliance including physicals and drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, deliver, and unload product efficiently.
• Complete duties as determined by Management.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Driver must be able to safely load, deliver and unload product efficiently to delivery locations and job sites
• Actual duties and schedule may vary as determined by Management

Requirements

Requirements/Skills Needed:

• Valid and current Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License
• Must be able to operate manual transmission
• Must be able to read and understand Bills of Lading
• Must be able to physically and safely deliver building products on a roof
• Must be able to operate a forklift
• Prior Piggy Back and Knuckle Boom experience is a huge plus

• Acknowledge and understand that CDL drivers are subject to required DOT random drug and alcohol tests

• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to communicate with Dispatch and the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries and to make entries on reports and records
• Must have reliable transportation to work each day
• Experience in handling building products
• Must be able to use handheld technology and smartphone applications such as GPS
