Job summary

SRS Distribution, National Structure – Sacramento, CA, is seeking a delivery driver to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle, load and unload building materials, and deliver to job sites while delivering a world-class customer experience. Candidates must hold at least a Class B CDL (Class A preferred), have a clean three-year MVR, and knowledge of DOT regulations.

The role emphasizes independence, teamwork and strong communication.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid CDL with minimum Class B; Class A preferred.
  • Clean three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safety practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect truck/trailer for defects and ensure safe operation.
  • Safely load/unload building materials onto/from flatbed or boom truck.
  • Deliver materials to assigned areas while prioritizing safety.
  • Maintain records for regulatory compliance.
  • Report accidents involving driver or equipment.
  • Lift heavy materials up to 80 lbs.
  • Provide excellent customer service with a professional attitude.

Position Summary

The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies, Federal and State regulations, and to deliver all freight undamaged. The driver works as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing a world‑class customer service experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect truck/trailer for defects for safe operation.
  • Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
  • Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
  • Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
  • Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for load/unload.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills and professional attitude.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred.
  • Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

Physical Requirements
  • Remain stationary while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time.
  • Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading.
  • Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed.
  • Judge distance when delivering materials and operating boom.
  • Communicate with management and coworkers accurately.
  • Work outside environment while making deliveries.

Salary and Benefits

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $23.51 to $29.90 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on location, education, training, and/or experience. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime, performance-based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
