Midwest Industrial vacuuming, hydro-excavation, water-blasting and cleaning company is seeking hard-working, dependable individuals to drive and operate our specialty trucks, and to lead and work alongside crews in performing industrial vacuuming, water-blasting, hydro-excavation and other industrial cleaning services. The qualified Crew Leader will have a good driving record with a valid Class B CDL license with air brakes and tanker endorsements. Our Crew Leaders drive and operate a variety of industrial cleaning equipment, such as vacuum trucks, water blasters, hydro-excavation trucks and other equipment, while managing and working with the crews to complete assigned projects. The position for the Crew Leader is about 15% driving and 85% operating and working with the personnel and equipment on job sites.
Qualifications and skills
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with air brakes and tanker endorsements. Must be able to drive manual transmission
- Knowledge and experience of field management and supervisory methods
- Flexibility to respond to changing job schedules and demands
- Ability to travel occasionally and/or work a variety of shifts
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, outside in adverse conditions and in other challenging environments
- Ability to lift, push or pull, up to and sometimes exceeding 50 pounds, with frequent movement and other activity. Must be able to wear respirators
- Must successfully complete drug screening and pre-employment physical
While the ideal Crew Leader would have prior experience in industrial vacuuming, hydro-excavation, hydroblasting, remediation, or a related industrial maintenance or environmental occupation, Great Lakes Power Vac will gladly train suitable candidates. Preferred candidates will also have previous training in the OSHA 30 standards and/or the OSHA 40 HAZWOPER standards.
