Job summary

Doggett Concrete Construction is seeking an experienced Crane Truck Operator/Driver to transport, load, and unload concrete wall forms and equipment to active job sites. This role combines commercial driving with crane operation, requiring safe handling of heavy loads and coordination with field crews.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, rigging checks, and follow DOT/OSHA safety standards while meeting project timelines and maintaining logs and records.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B license required.
• 2–3 years of crane truck/boom operation experience.
• Knowledge of rigging techniques and load charts.
• Clean driving record; able to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Ability to read load charts, site plans, and delivery schedules.
• Familiar with DOT and OSHA safety regulations for driving and crane operation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a crane-equipped truck to transport forms, panels, rigging, and equipment between yard, storage locations, and job sites.
• Operate truck-mounted crane/boom to load, unload, lift, and place wall forms and equipment with proper rigging and load securement.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and company safety standards; report issues promptly.
• Inspect crane, cables, slings, chains, and rigging before each use and report wear or defects.
• Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations including load limits and crane procedures.
• Coordinate with site superintendents and crew to schedule deliveries aligning with timelines.
• Maintain logs, delivery records, and hours-of-service documentation as required by DOT.
• Navigate active construction sites, including uneven terrain and tight access, with caution.
• Set up outriggers and ground protection to ensure safe crane operation.
• Communicate with ground crew using signals or radio during lifting operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the truck and crane equipment.
• Assist with yard duties, equipment staging, and other duties as assigned.
